I'm a home schooling mom. I've been doing this for the last 7 1/2 years. Although, is very challenging I enjoy it more every day. I have three children 6,9 and 11. In the last few years I have learn a lot about my kids and how to organize my household and my life as a survival mechanism! Home schooling is very rewarding for both children and parents because you can see the progress and advancements first hand. My day is extremely busy and exhausting and yet, I wouldn't give it up for the world. This week was specially difficult because my fourth grader was having trouble with subjects & predicates. So, I came up with a format to help him to identify each word of a sentence and its part of speech. I had him write 5 7-up sentences and then we broke them down by writing them vertically. Then, he had to identify each word and its part on speech. He had a lot of fun and it helped him a lot. So, I guess it didn't turn out to be that bad of a week.
